Country Place Subdivision, originated in 1978 as Texas Country Properties, Inc.;
Initial Phase 1 development consisted of 272 acres.
Phase 2 development began in 1980 as additional property was added.
In 1981 the construction of the three lakes began.
In late 1982, Texas Country Properties, Inc. was dissolved and assets were sold or distributed among investors. Land west of Shackelford Creek and East Mud Creek was sold to Triton, Inc. and is now part of Oakbrook development.
In late 1981, the developer organized the Country Place Landowners Association, Inc.
As this organization did not meet representation needs of all owners, a twin organization named the Property Owners Association was created by the majority of homeowners.
Recognizing the need to have one community association, these two organizations officially merged November 15th, 1984 under the present name:
of the Country Place Community Association, Inc.
